The most important aspect of this swimming pool project was to create a secluded hideaway to compliment the architecturally renovated home.
Due to the site composition, there were only two possible locations on the block – the front yard which had very limited privacy, or at the rear of the property in a river causeway. Therefore the pool needed to be constructed 1.2m above ground level to eliminate the possibility of a washout during a flood.
Private, secluded areas were essential as the property backs onto a public park. The stunning water feature was also a major requirement to set the pool apart from most average natural pool designs already considered by both the clients and our designers. It was also essential that the existing landscape was not disturbed as it had been designed for privacy.
